Kentucky scores first Medicaid work requirement approval

The CMS has signed off on Kentucky's request to add an employment or volunteering requirement to Medicaid eligibility. The agency also signed off on the state imposing premiums and ending retroactive eligibility for the program.

MedPAC votes 14-2 to junk MIPS, providers angered

An influential policy organization that advises Congress on Medicare issues has voted to repeal and replace MIPS under MACRA. Providers immediately criticized the move to end the program and what the panel wants to replace it with.
